The Spoon River is a 147-mile-long tributary of the Illinois River that runs through Fulton County. The rivers drains largely agricultural prairie country between Peoria and Galesburg. The lower portion of the rivers passes through scenic hills of Fulton County and joins the Illinois River from the west opposite Havana, approximately 40 miles downstream and southwest of Peoria. There are several communities and locations in Fulton County that over access to the river and beautiful views of the river.
