Mound Tour

The most obvious evidence of the prehistoric past of the Spoon River area is manifested by earthworks built for a variety of purposes. We will visit the present and former locations of several important earthworks located in the Lewistown-Havana area and discuss what is known about them.

Please dress appropriately for outdoor conditions. Participants will provide their own transportation and water and snacks. Registration is not required. Meet at the Museum’s main parking lot.
